Independence Day, so they say. I don’t know, maybe it’s just another holiday.
On the other hand, while in the hospital this morning, mother and I watched a show about the origins of various Filipino food. What caught my attention was the segment asking the audience what dish best represents our country: sinigang or adobo?
I know how to cook adobo. I choose adobo. Heh.
But sinigang is an amazing comfort food though, especially on a rainy day, or after a long, lingering storm.
