I’m writing this on the floor — dusty, papered with stacks upon stacks of fallen slivers of memory. There is a spot of dried blood in the corner. I have no idea how it got there. Perhaps from a squashed mosquito, or a deep wound with an invisible opening.

I do not know, and I am not [entirely] bothered.

This is the start of the school’s preparatory celebrations for its impending, incoming acceptance of old age. The entrance is still rather steep, though not in price, but in process.
