Of Order, Borrowed Books, and Lack of Time

My room is once again in order. I was able to take out the unfathomable chaos two days ago, rearranging some of my books (too many to list and read) on my pseudo-shelf and mowing away the horrific clutter of papers, cigarette boxes, and whatnot on my table.

I’m excited to read Annie Dillard’s Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. I’ve been a fan since college. And no, I do not own the book. I borrowed it from my student [lucky bastard] who had bought the used copy from a bargain bookstore. He told me that what attracted him to purchase Pilgrim at Tinker Creek was the typeface. Unfortunately there’s no colophon.

Now you know why book design matters.

Less than two weeks to go before 2012. So many things to write about, so little time.
